Privacy Policy
Unicorner is committed to protecting the privacy of its users and to processing personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its implementing regulations, and any instructions or guidance issued by the competent authorities. This policy has been prepared to explain the basis on which personal data is collected, used, disclosed, and protected, in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, purpose limitation, data minimization, and data security.
By using the platform or any of its services, you acknowledge and agree to this policy and to the processing of your personal data within the limits necessary to provide the service, operate the platform, and achieve the legitimate purposes related to it.
Unicorner is a digital technology platform designed to enable users to present and describe their projects, explore opportunities, and communicate with each other, in addition to providing analytical and informational tools, including tools supported by artificial intelligence technologies. In this context, the platform does not carry out any professional advisory activity and is not a party to any contractual relationship arising between users. Its role is limited to providing a technical environment for interaction and information exchange, without intervening in the substance of such relationships or obligations.
To operate the platform, we collect and process different categories of personal data. This includes data provided directly by the user when creating an account, such as name, email address, and user type within the platform, as well as data the user chooses to enter in their personal profile or project files, including project descriptions, company data, documents, or pitch decks. The user acknowledges that they are fully responsible for the accuracy of the data they provide, the legality of using and sharing it, and any consequences resulting from publishing or making it available to others.
We also collect data relating to the use of the platform, such as pages visited, interactions, contact requests, and use of paid features, for the purposes of improving performance, developing the user experience, and ensuring operational efficiency. This may also include certain technical data, such as IP address, device and browser type, operating system, and access logs, which are used for security purposes, detecting unlawful activity, and enhancing service stability.
With respect to artificial intelligence features, we may process the inputs provided by the user, the outputs generated from them, and operational data related to improving these systems. The user acknowledges that such outputs are generated automatically, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and should not be relied upon alone to make significant decisions. The user is fully responsible for any use or interpretation of such outputs.
Personal data is processed for purposes necessary to operate the platform, manage accounts, enable interaction between users, operate paid services, improve systems, including artificial intelligence systems, protect the platform from misuse or fraud, comply with legal requirements, and communicate with users when needed. Data will not be used for purposes beyond these purposes except where permitted by law or based on the user’s explicit consent.
The processing of data is based on one of the recognized legal bases, such as performing contractual obligations, complying with applicable laws, achieving a legitimate interest of the platform without prejudice to the user’s rights, or based on the user’s consent where required. The user may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Payment and Subscription Data
When using paid services or subscriptions within the platform, payment data may be processed through an external payment service provider. Unicorner does not store full bank card details on its servers. However, a secure Token issued by the payment service provider may be stored for the purpose of managing recurring subscriptions or renewal transactions, based on the user’s consent.
Payment data or related tokens are used only for the purposes of processing payments, activating subscriptions, renewing subscriptions, managing invoices, or handling related transactions, in accordance with the payment service provider’s policies and applicable laws.
The platform does not sell personal data. However, personal data may be disclosed within limited scope to entities or parties required by the nature of the service, such as technical service providers, other users within the functions of the platform, competent authorities where there is a legal obligation, or in the context of restructuring or transfer of business. In all cases, any subsequent use of data by receiving parties is outside the platform’s control, and the platform is not responsible for it after sharing the data in accordance with legal frameworks or with the user’s consent.
The platform may allow certain contact data to be shared between users. When this occurs, any communication or dealing outside the platform is the direct responsibility of the relevant parties, and such relationships are not subject to the platform’s supervision or control. The platform does not bear any obligations or consequences arising from them.
Some data or information that the user chooses to publish may be visible to other users. The user acknowledges that they are fully responsible for the content they publish, for assessing the nature and consequences of such publication, and for any use that others may make of such data, without any responsibility on the platform.
The platform may rely on third-party service providers to operate its technical infrastructure, such as hosting services, payment processing, analytics, and performance monitoring. These providers are subject to their own privacy policies, and the platform is not responsible for their practices outside the contractual relationship governing their engagement.
Personal data is retained for the period necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected, or for the period required by applicable laws. Data may be retained after account closure where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or protect legal rights.
Data may be processed or stored outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through service providers. Your use of the platform constitutes consent to such transfer, while we remain committed to taking reasonable measures to ensure an appropriate level of protection.
The platform applies appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. However, absolute security cannot be guaranteed for any technical system, and the platform is not responsible for any breach resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
The user has, in accordance with applicable laws, a number of rights related to their personal data, such as the right of access, correction, deletion, objection, and withdrawal of consent, within the limits permitted by law. Some of these rights may be restricted in cases permitted by law.
The platform does not target minors and does not knowingly collect their data. Any third-party links or services are not subject to this policy, and the practices of those parties are independent of the platform.
The platform reserves the right to amend this policy at any time, and the user’s continued use of the platform after amendments are published shall be deemed implied acceptance of them.
